Power Boat Courses
RST (Recreational Skippers Ticket) Course Information:
The Western Australian Recreational Skippers Ticket is a must have for everybody who wants to drive any power driven vessel (including yachts) with a motor larger than 6hp. As with a motor vehicle license there are both theory and practical components to the test, and you will need to pass the theory before you can do the practical. Our training package includes training for both tests as well as home study materials, so you’ll be well equipped with everything you need to be successful.
Our RST courses include two evening theory classes to cover all the necessary theory plus a half day practical training and assessment. The theory classes will take place on two weekday evenings, with the practical scheduled for the weekend at your preferred time.
Preparation – Paperwork
The Department of Transport require all applicants for the RST to provide 100 points of identification and proof of eyesight. If you have an Australian driver’s license or learner’s permit this covers both the ID and eyesight requirements. Please bring this with you to the course.
