Checkpoint Duty for Power Yacht Time Trials

Scroll to bottom, of page to view the Roster.

All members with power boats who are not participating in time trialling will be rostered to do a checkpoint duty at some stage during the year. Exemptions may be granted in special circumstances by application to the Power Yacht Committee.

The Power Yacht Committee would love to hear from you if you are able to complete a specific Checkpoint, please view the current Roster below and email [email protected] to request your preferred date.

If you are unable to attend your duty for any reason, it is your responsibility to find a replacement and notify the Club of these changes. A family member, friend, boatman, neighbour etc can complete your duty on your behalf if you are unable to attend or you may wish to try and make a swap with another member on the roster. If you are unable to use your boat on the allocated day, we may be able to allocate the use of a club RIB and there are always land based alternatives available.

Reminders to those on the roster will be sent one week in advance of the duty and will include instructions, times and meeting place. The instructions may be viewed in advance here Checkpoint Instructions.

If you have not done this duty before or require a refresher, there is a very useful video on Youtube which is well worth a look.
