BW8’s
RFBYC’s BW8 Fleet Captain is: Craig Knell
Bakewell-White 8metre (BW8) combines resources with design to create a keel boat to take people from dinghy to keel boats and/or from no knowledge to competent sailor.
The Club utilises a fleet of Club owned and borrowed (from members) for the “Club Use” programme as training craft for those who wish to pass through the Keelboat course and competitive programmes offered via the Training School.
In 2012, RFBYC introduced a Ladies’ only Twilight on the BW8s, for social purposes and to ease interested sailors into the class.
