Learn to Sail for ages 7 to 17

Courses currently running:


We coach participants from beginner to performance levels. This is through the Australian Sailing Learn to Sail training curriculum and beyond. Sailors will be placed in a training group depending on friends attending, prior experience, and age. 

Australian Sailing programmes offered at RFBYC during school holidays and term time are:
 
  • Tackers 1 - Having Fun (age 7-12)
  • Tackers 2 - Tricks & Techniques (age 7-12)
  • Tackers 3 - Sailing Fast! (age 7-12)
  • OutThere Sailing 1 (age 13-17)
  • OutThere Sailing Combined (age 13-17)
  • Green Fleet Race Ready (age 7-12)
  • Orange Fleet Race Ready (age 13-17)
  • Start Windsurfing (age 13-17)
Once you have completed the Learn to Sail courses we will continue to coach you through to racing and performance pathways.

Cost per child is $460 | $160 RFBYC member participant

Did you know, if the participant is keen on sailing it is worth becoming a Junior member now!

They will receive the member price, a reduction on each course). You can make the course booking now and get the discount amount refunded when the membership is processed as long as the membership application is in prior to the commencement of the course.
